Sea kayaking weekends and short breaks in Devon

Our Sea Kayaking weekends and short breaks are a wonderful way to discover the hidden beauty of the coastline and estuaries of South Devon. Moving silently through nature in small groups means you experience wildlife close up and undisturbed while exploring the hidden coves, cut-off beaches, remote inlets and caves you can only discover from the water.

No previous Sea kayaking experience is needed, all equipment and coaching provided. If you have Sea kayaked before it is a great opportunity to improve your skills.

Our small groups allow us to view nature without disturbing, displacing or damaging it and even more importantly our aim is to leave the beaches, coves and other marine environments we visit in a better condition than when we arrived.

If you don’t like crowds, if you love the outdoors with a bit of adventure, if you also want to relax in comfort…our Sea kayaking holidays are for you!

The coastline of the UK has been described as it’s last great wilderness and South Devon has some of the most spectacular and varied coastline of all.

Torbay has sheltered waters, sandy beaches and rocky coves. The coastline is a UNESCO Global Geopark and home to the sea grass beds which are the breeding grounds of our native species of seahorse.

If you are interested in wildlife the river estuaries (drowned river valleys known as Rias) of South Devon are the places to visit. Seals, Cormorants, Little Egrets, Kingfishers, Herons and a wide variety of seabirds are seen as you paddle or drift along with the tide in amongst the reed beds and remote side creeks.

For the more experienced Sea Kayakers, the South Hams coastline, a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, has a rugged coastline, sea caves, headlands and exposed cliffs for the more adventurous. No doubt you will spot seals and if you are lucky Porpoise, sunfish and dolphins and in recent years humpbacked whales have become welcome visitors to the coastline during the summer months”

Sea kayaking weekends and short breaks are for people over the age of 16 who can confidently swim 50m. Under 18s must be accompanied by an adult while kayaking.
